The same arguments were made last year. The easiest response to this is let him go somewhere and actually win before you crown him. You assume because he is mediocre to average at State that that means he would crush somewhere else. There's a reason it took him forever to get a gig. There's a reason State got him and he took that gig. There's a reason that no one has come a calling since then. If he's magnificent, one day he'll got to place where he can show it. Giving him a pass for his mediocrity and rewarding rank speculation by ranking him high is pretty silly.

Was second youngest coach in SEC when hired. Kiffikins was youngest. And Miami was interested as well as Penn State in Mullen. The reason he isn't "crushing it" at State is because the west is unbelievable strong during his era. If he went to B1G he would certainly have better records when he doesn't have to play LSU, Bama and usually AU every year. So he loses to schools that own the last four BCS NCG trophies even though we curbstomped AU last year. Shame on him.

He lost to Auburn two years ago and mismanaged the game doing so. How does that support he's a great coach again? You wrote a huge paragraph of excuses. All I said is let him actually show something that would indicate he's a good coach before we crown him.
