Just stupid

that's a fact

It is the complete and total opposite of a fact. It is an opinion supported by basically NO facts.

On NO level can you make the argument that we are worse off as a program, except maybe as fans; we have more bandwagon nutcases than ever before but other than that we good!

OK, I will. In 2004, LSU had the best coach in football, the best talent in the country, and their first title in almost 50 years. today, LSU is coming off a disappointing season, no longer with the greatest coach in football on their sidelines, and are pencilled in at 3rd or 4th (depending on the ole miss game) in the west next year. I would say it's pretty fricking obvious.

There are a ton of great coaches in the SEC... and I'm not necessarily saying muschamp is better than 4 thru 14, but what he did last year was arguably "coach of the year" worthy.

We had just... nothing on offense and a couple great players on defense... and he turned us around from an atrocious 7-win-team into a national championship game contender. We were (IMO) clearly much worse than Georgia, Alabama, and probably at least another 15 teams in the country. And yet our blind resume was very arguably better than Alabama's and Georgia's going into the SECCG. (Though Bama's was definitely better after beating UGA.)

Not true. 07 team was full of Saban players including that huge senior class which pretty much is the reason LSU won it Thad year.

In oh so many ways.

quote:

they were winning championships with Saban's players

Well Saban won with Dinardo's players if that's the measure.

The truth is, MOST of the contributors on the LSU 2007 NC Team NEVER played a DOWN under Nick Saban and the majority of them were recruited directly by Miles.

ALL of the 2011 SEC Champion Tigers signed under Miles.

Miles' record at LSU is FAR better than Saban's record at LSU.

quote:

and almost lost 5 games this year

And yet the Tigers were one play(one yard) from beating Bama and likely being in the SECCG and possibly the NC themselves...

You can hate, but don't be stupid...

do you have any idea how many players on the '07 team actually saw the field in '04? i'll give some time to look it up but the answer is pretty easy.

you're getting fricking dumber with every post. the fact that you're the only one still argueing about this should tell you something

This list is garbage. No way that Richt should be above Miles. Richt has done less with more talent than any coach in the SEC.

Sumlin is too high as well. Sherman left a full cupboard stocked with talent for Sumlin, and a once in a lifetime player in JFF. I am more impressed with what Freeze was able to do with that shite talent base they had this season. He was a pussy fart away from winning a few more games with a lot less talent.

1. Saban
2. Spurrier
3. Miles
4. Richt
5. Bielema
6. Freeze
7. Sumlin
8. Franklin
9. Muschamp
The rest...

In 2004, you were the defending champs, with the players on your roster to win another and one of the greatest coaches in the history of sports on your sideline. now he coaches for big brother, and there's not a player on your roster who has won a 'ship. I don't need my helmet to know when you were better off.

and who says LSU is likely 3rd or 4th in the west? uhh, pretty much everybody dude. A&M and Bama are the hot teams in the projections this year. this is what I'm talking about. literally everybody knows that, but here I am, having to explain it to a loyal reader of the tiger rant. Geaux Tigers!
