Baseball America rates our 2014 class 5th in the nation.

It is the second consecutive year the Gamecocks have brought in a Top 5 class, as last year’s group was ranked No. 3 in the country by Baseball America. This year’s class consists of 16 newcomers.

2016 standout pitcher, Sawyer Bridges, just decommited from clemson and opened it back up with SC in the think of it. He's rated the #2 player in SC for '16 and #127 player overall nationally for '16. He's really highly rated, but not so high that he'll get picked in the early MLB rounds, at this point in time for the projections.
He plays for Summerville with current '15 baseball commit Hopkins and '15 football commit Zac Bailey. He plays club ball with the EvoShield Canes, and we have 5 commits right now from that team.
