South Carolina picked up its second right-handed pitcher commitment in the 2016 recruiting class when Michael Bienlien (Chesapeake, Va./Great Bridge) made his pledge. Bienlien chose the Gamecocks over offers from Miami, N.C. State, Duke and several others.

Bienlien is ranked as the No. 283 player in the country and the No. 81 player nationally at his position. He’s ranked as the eighth-best player in the state of Virginia and is also a 4.0 student.
