It doesn't! If you are good you are going to win. No matter how many teams are in the field. The cream rises to the top. Arky has like 50 track titles and LSU has a lot too, but there are more teams competing. You use FGCU as an example because they made the sweet 16, who gives a shite. George Mason made it to the Final Four and didn't win it. Who cares. Titles are all that matters in sports. Indiana and Gonzaga have been overrated all year so please don't use a 1 seed losing early, it happens.

You obviously are not comprehending what I am laying down...
By football logic, who would have played for the national title in basketball? The two teams you just stated were overrated. Why didn't they? Because basketball has a tougher format and a tourney for teams to go through.
