This was just a model for what it could look like if the NCAA structured a series of leagues using FIFA's scoring and promotional structures. There would be about 7 more leagues after this. What y'all think?

how did the national champion from two years ago drop from all 3 leagues? shouldn't they be in League 3 this year?

This was based on current rankings. I will have to work to make the initial one better.

What's the green and red mean? I'm not familiar with FIFA

It's not scientifically based. I just went off some mixture of history and relevance. It would only matter for the first few seasons before being 100% fair. IMO, all the historical teams probably need to start out in the first four leagues.

After the season ended, the bottom three teams would be "demoted" to league two, while the top three teams in league 2 would be promoted to the champions league.

And so on with every league down. The lone green in the champions league would be NCAA champs

Are you telling me we could have CFB year round? It seems the UEFA season never actually ends.

Too much turnover in college sports for this type of system.

Cool chart though.

I thought about that. There would be obvious things that would probably have to be worked around. If it was like real leagues though, it wouldn't be 12 teams in each one. More like 24 or even more

It's meant more as a "What if?" than it is a real solution to the muddled crap we have right now. To be fair though, it solves a lot of problems people have with the BCS

By football, you mean soccer. And this idea and thread suck, just like soccer.

Yes. Yes I do. Whether you enjoy soccer or not, their system is pretty legit.
