Both coaches in my opinoin have been/are doing good jobs at Mississippi state as head coaches. They may come off as brash, outspoken, and cocky from time to time, and that is where my question comes from.

Would you rather have a coach who is outspoken, confient, and cocky or a coach who never says anything controversial or never tries to get much media attention that is known as a nice guy.

Give Me Dan and Cohen any day of the week.

I like Mullen. He's good for MSU and the SEC but he'll be gone in the next couple of years.

John Cohen is a low rent piece of trash.

I actually don't have a problem with Mullen, he's a decent coach in a tough situation.

John Cohen bitches and cries WAY too much for me to like him. If Mullen wouldn't let his mouth write checks his butt can't cash I'd hate him a lot less.

Your premise is that people hate Cohen because he is "brash, outspoken and cocky" which describes just about every winning coach in the SEC. That isn't why people dislike Cohen.

Nobody I know hates Mullen.

Nobody hates Dan, they just have little respect for his coaching or recruiting skills.

Why would we hate Mullen?

He loses to LSU every year like clockwork.

I think Dan Mullen is all talk, has snowed over the MSU fan base and is the perfect fit for MSU. I hope he stays there forever.

Cohen? Meh.
