This comment gives me reserved optimism in a sense because Whitfield is unbiased and has worked with great college QB's. He also went on to refer to Franklin as one of the nations "best kept secrets". Pretty easy to keep a player a secret when he misses half the games.

This comment makes me think there was no real QB competition and that Pinkel is not ballsy enough to make a move if another player deserves to start over Franklin. HCGP doesnt like to sit an incumbent in favor of an underclassman. Hope I am wrong. Again if Franklin IS the guy and performs the best then I want him on the field. I just wish he would have to earn it.

Franklin will start. I'd be shocked if he doesn't. Question for you guys about Franklin working with Whitfield. That quote makes it sound like he only worked with Whitfield over spring break. Is that true? If so, I guess he couldn't work with him in the offseason because he'd have to miss school? Just question how much 1 week of work will really help.
