Still has another year on his show-cause, correct? I really doubt Grant goes to Minnesota if offered, and I'd imagine Shaka would have to say no to them first anyway.

FIFY. I think it's adorable that they think they can hire Shaka Smart who turned down the Illinois job and is getting looked at for the UCLA job. I don't care if the AD and him are the bestest of butt-buddies, I don't see that happening. I'd like to know what in the hell they were thinking when they fired Tubby Smith. He's done a very solid job at Minnesota.

BTW Marshall would be the best option I could see us realistically landing if Grant left (I don't see it happening), but he had the 2 million dollar price tag, BEFORE this Sweet 16 run. It will depend on how much money we are willing to dish out to a first year coach.

Not to mention the fact that Pearl has too much trouble keeping Little Brucie tucked away. Alabama has had more than enough experience with coaches who couldn't keep it zipped up. Bill Battle didn't get to where he is by being stupid.

Alabama doesn't need this woman setting up shop on The Strip.
