Not really. I think the Black Bear is a better sideline mascot. The landshark could be something like War Eagle is to Auburn.

I mean I know the Col. Reb switch made everyone mad, but when you think about kids, sitting in a bears lap is probably more comfortable for them than a shark or elderly man. That's probably one of the reasons it is what it is. Life gonna life.

I think our mascot should be a huge, foam petition. Or maybe a big arse, cardboard replica of a message board post titled "Why our mascot sukz bawls..!1.1.!>!".
Jesus nipple pinching Christ almighty damn. It's a fricking bear. No one is in love with it. No one (rational) is disgusted by it. We all agree it should have been handled differently. Kids will love anything in a fricking OM jersey.
MOVE THE frick ALONG. There are wins and loses to be concerned with among our big 3 sports, ladies. Ery'body pull up their goddamned panties and get on the fricking bus.

Not being a hater. I love the teams getting excited and doing it. Just don't want it as the on field mascot. Plus a shark would be scary for little kids. Bear is cute and cuddly.
