It's the best year in a while.

Bowl win, NCAA tournament berth, in the drivers seat for a regional host site in baseball. I'm pretty sure that we're the only SEC program that can say that right now.

I wouldn't call it a "golden age" though. That sounds stupid. It's just a good year all around for our mens athletics programs.

so just 3 of their sports eh?

Yes, the three sports that people actually give a shite about.

But, if you must, we do have a top 10 tennis program right now, and are preseason #11 in track and field...

I had a conversation with a friend about track the other day. The concept is pretty simple. Who's the best at the most basic things athletically? Running, jumping, throwing a round rock & a heavy frisbee, eyc. I wish it got more attention. It's just so damn boring.

I think track is boring because of how slow meets go, but the actual competitions themselves aren't boring, at least to me.

Like I love watching that shite when it's on TV during the olympics. Swimming too.

basing FB success of a recruiting class?

Not saying "success" but the point is that we're getting more attention from the national sports media than we have since Eli Manning graduated. Hugh Freeze + Marshall Henderson = us on TV erryday.

After this years football season we shall know! Definitely on the upswing. Just a year and a half ago it looked as if Mississippi state was taking over.

I think OM athletics are headed in the right direction with the current administration.

People need to learn to deal with it.

I think Bjork has done a good job with things for fans like special deals and fun things for kids. I really think he is great for our program.

I completely agree. He actually gives a shite about success, which is a major step up from the previous administration.

Most people dont give a shite about college baseball. I, for one, give a shite about all of my school's athletics.

Track sucks.

Golden age is a stupid term. I think all Ole Miss sports are positively trending, although I think basketball is reaching it's crescendo.

Having an AD that actually gives a shite is helping a lot. He's putting money into the sports and it's showing.

Freeze had that good class this year. And it looks like he is already putting together another good class.

Don't forget, that tennis program just whipped UGA's arse.

When you keep getting props for a 6-6 football season that tells where your program sits.
