Boyfriend thought he was losing the beagle that he's had since he was a kid a few days before we left for vacation so I know what it feels like.
Get some rest, be around people.
I know you can't replace him, but when you feel up to it new puppy, preferably a rescue... because they just want someone to love them... can do wonders.
