State: Errors and walks will kill this team until they get them under control. Also, we have a team full of singles hitters and Renfroe, so we are not a threat to take a game over with one swing. I like this team though because they can hit, and have a tremendously deep pitching staff. Because of pitching MSU is built for tournament play. Plus, arguably our best pitcher is still working his way back form injury and did not throw this weekend.

LSU: First props to the fans, LSU traveled well as always and I enjoyed breaking bread with several of you folks in the outfield.
LSU is a solid team with a very solid lineup. I was particularly impressed with your shortstop. Nola and Eades both seem to be studs, but pitching seemed to drop off dramatically after that. From what I saw this weekend, I'd be concerned about pitching in a tournament format.

It's too early in the season to worry about that. There is usually someone that distigushes himself around the middle of the year as the 3rd starter.

Actually having 2 starters already tabbed is better than some years.

Most optimistic view from a series loss I've seen since Cohen's pitching moral victory last season. Well done, OP (an arky alter).

I know, I was there. You have no concerns with your team? Katz beat us Friday night by himself, yall killed us on Saturday, and we killed you on Sunday.
When you look at innings led MSU 15 LSU 9. We had more hits, scored more runs, and had a better ERA for the weekend than LSU. However, we had more errors and more walks. I'm not claiming moral victory here at all because the scoreboard is all that matters, but it is foolish to act like your team came in and crushed us.

No one cares about made up stats you invented for your moral victories. I just checked the NCAA's site, State leads the nation in inning scoring per 18 innings efficiency offense and defense. You are on pace for a 10-20 conference season. No one cares.

I'll address friday. The hits were actually 8-7, not 10-7. LSU had 3 errors, not 1. Your official scorer is extremely dishonest.

I didnt see saturday because of st paddys day but obviously LSU owned that day and MSU owned Sunday. The only disappointing thing for LSU on the weekend was Cody Glenn who had been really good up until this past Sunday.

I'll jump in and agree with you here. There was one hit credited to Renfroe that was clearly an error.

You have a poster comparing the innings led and combined runs of three games in baseball, and you go and attack the guy who calls him out for making shite up? Wow.

Aaron Nola only actually had 2 earned runs against him, not 4. A groundball to Katz (albeit an in between hop) is an error. He hardly had to move. Then they hit a ground ball to Ibarra and he boots it too. Strangely it deflects right to Bregman and he throws it wildly. And that was the only error in the inning they called (the one on Bregman). 3 errors in an inning get counted as 1, 2 extra hits that werent hits, and 2 additional runs on Nola's ERA.
