Semo, this is true. Most every father (my father included) teaches their children not to fight, but if a bully starts a fight, strike back and finish it regardless of the consequences.
Punishment is temporary. Teaching a bully a valuable lesson lasts forever and gives your child real life confidence.

I agree!!! I just wouldn't want my child to think being the aggressor was OK - you wouldn't want the fighting to become a habit.
