How long have they had this tradition? How many other schools sing it? Was Alabama the first to school to sing it?

We sang Hotty Toddy after the game. Rammer Jammer was copied from hotty toddy way back in the day. This thread is officially backfired.

Look closely during a University of Alabama football game and you’ll see it happen. It is subtle and might give away a secret: The University of Alabama’s passionate “Rammer Jammer” cheer originated with a Southeastern Conference rival. Before the cheer is played, the drum major of the Million Dollar Band will make an ‘O’ with one arm to tell band members the cheer is next.
The ‘O’ stands for Ole Miss, one of ’Bama’s SEC foes. The cheer came to Alabama via Dr. James Ferguson, who was band director at Ole Miss before coming to Alabama to direct the Million Dollar Band.
“It’s been called the Ole Miss cheer since its inception. It started under Ferguson, who was the band director back in the ’70s and ’80s,” says Tom Land, institutional records analyst at the University of Alabama archives.
“And there are two reasons why some people don’t like it. ‘We’re going to beat the hell out of you.’ That was the first problem. And then the other thing that came up in the ’80s and ’90s was that some people said it was bad sportsmanship. At that time the everybodyis-supposed-to-win mentality had seeped in.

Well technically we stole RammER JammER from Ole Miss way back when. We even still make a giant O as a sign to show were about to play it. So yeah it's OM thing. We just made it famous.

A bunch of school's all sing a variation of the "we just beat the hell out of you" song after they wins. It a really classless and stupid "tradition" that multiple teams claim.
