As I understand it, you all don't have much baseball tradition. Has the athletic department made it a priority to invest in new baseball facilities, coaching, etc.? It has to be tough to come from a conference where nobody gives a shite about baseball to the number one conference in the country.

They're improving the facilities. Most of us will take a while to give two shits about it.

See sig text, then feel shame for your stupidity.
Missouri is full of baseball talent, now that Mizzou is in the SEC and committing to all sports, you'll see more of that talent come to MU over places like MO state and other good baseball schools in our state.

Yes, part of the capital campaign for facility improvements is for baseball. Hopefully fans will support it.
One issue we have is weather. Baseball season starts in February, and Feb and March can still be pretty cold here. We had to cancel some games because of snow. Fans here just don't go out to watch a 3pm game when it's 35 degrees. As it warms up, more people come to the games. The other issue we have is the Cardinals. That's Missouri's baseball team, no question. Because by the time it's warm enough to be outside and enjoy games, the Cards season has started too.
I'm hoping this SEC move will have a positive impact on our baseball program and that we see it improve in a few years. We were decent in the Big 12. We aren't in the SEC. There's work to be done.

I imagine that as the years go by, with all the fanatical SEC fanbases over college baseball and how fiercely competitive the conference is in the sport, that Missouri's program can only improve in every facet. Plus with all the SEC money pouring in, they'll have extra incentive to build their program to compare with the SEC levels, if theirs isn't already...

I'm coming up for the LSU series on Good Friday. What hotel is the best to stay in?
