The big thing that I noticed living here (four years now) is that the black people that I've come across are extremely polite and friendly. Numerous times when I go to a store in the morning, a black male or female will pass by me and either say Good Morning, or smile at me and say hi. The blacks here don't sound like those thugs in Baton Rouge or New Orleans. I've never had a problem living here. The one thing that I can't stand about this place is the redneck accent. Everybody here sounds like Gomer Pyle (yes I know that Jim Nabors is from here) but that country accent really gets on your nerves. I've been to every southern state, and believe me, this is the only one that has a prominent country accent.

I find this hard to believe.
