Yes. Overall, I would think Thomas was the better player and teammate. It's just unfortunate that he happened to play for Ray Perkins.

DT wasn't a 1 year player at Alabama.
Season before he had 18 sacks and 7 forced fumbles. Not sure how much playing time he got in his 1st 2 years, though.
