Sorry if this has been posted, here are the nominees for the CFB HOF from the SEC this year:

•Brandon Burlsworth, OG, Arkansas

•Tony Franklin, PK, Texas A&M

•Leotis Harris, OG, Arkansas

•Bobby Majors, DB, Tennessee

•Buddy McClinton, DB, Auburn

•Paul Naumoff, LB, Tennessee

•Sterling Sharpe, WR, South Carolina

•Art Still, DE, Kentucky

•Matt Stinchcomb, OT, Georgia

•Derrick Thomas, LB, Alabama (homer comment - travesty he is not in already)

•Jackie Walker, LB, Tennessee

•Wesley Walls, TE, Ole Miss

•Scott Woerner, DB, Georgia

•Danny Wuerffel, QB, Florida (my comment: Heisman winner, about as successful a college QB that every played)

•Jim Carlen, Coach at West Virginia (1966-69), Texas Tech (1970-74) and South Carolina (1975-1981)

Some stud college players in this group. I wonder who gets in this year?

There was an interesting debate about Derrick Thomas yesterday on WJOX in Birmingham. They were comparing Thomas's collegiate career with that of Brian Bosworth. One host argued that even though Thomas had one of the best single seasons a linebacker has ever had in the history of college football, Bosworth had a better total collegiate career. Of course, Thomas obviously had the better NFL career and is undoubtedly remembered more favorably in both CFB and the NFL.

Thoughts?
