In 2012, Texas A&M produced the most prolific offense in SEC history... but looking at the numbers seems to suggest AU's 2010 offense was both more efficient and more success on the biggest stages.

What are your thoughts?... who was better and why

2012 A&M

Overall
13 games... 7261 yards (4114 pass 3147 rush)... 7.08 yards/play... 558.5 yards/game

AP Top 25 Teams (UF, LSU, Bama, OU)
4 games... 1795 yards (1036 pass 306 rush)... 5.87 yards/play... 448.8 yards/game

2010 Auburn

Overall
14 games... 6989 yards (3002 pass 3987 rush)... 7.37 yards/play... 499.2 yards/game

AP top 25 Teams (MSU, USCe, Ark, LSU, Bama, USCe, Oregon)
7 games... 3268 yards (1374 pass 1894 rush)... 6.62 yards/play... 466.9 yards/game

Aggies won't like it. But they feasted on their lesser talented competition.

Ohh yeah. 3rd in the west

Auburn because that offense did what it took to win every game and won a NC.

Auburn was undefeated. aTm lost two games. Auburn for the win. Heisman was all Cam all the way. JFF barely beat out a linebacker that couldn't tackle anyone in the Bama stands during the MNC.

I speak the truth. I would go as far as 5th overall in SEC.

Florida and Georgia finished ahead of them too

and your real question is pretty much "Cam or JFF?" and that answer is simple...Jordan Jefferson ftw

I hate it but Auburn...

The AU comebacks vs Bama, UGA etc. were impressive...

If you had 2010 Auburn's defense and 2012 Texas A&M's offense you are mentioned in the same breath as 95 Nebraska and 2001 Miami.

That 2010 team was the only team out of the SEC's run to win a natty with Offense being the main focus instead of outstanding D. That's something I don't think you'll see again for a while.

I dont recall the AU defense being that good, they had Fairley but he took off most plays. Pretty mediocre defense

One could argue that 2007 LSU did the same post injuries to both of our DTs.

AU is at least mentioned in the same sentence with Neb & da U... i.e. Crystal winners... aTm not so much, 3rd in division, 5th in league...
