It's only shocking to the ignorant. Apparently he liked Arkansas better than Stanford and Ohio State and all the others. Nobody is going to argue that Stanford and Ohio State aren’t fine colleges but I've learned over the years that just about any college will get a person where they want to go in life if they put forth the effort, provided said college offers the chosen field of study.

Case in point, former Wal-Mart President and CEO, Lee Scott, was a graduate of Pittsburg State, KS. I’m not sure of Scott’s net worth but his compensation in 2007 was about 30 million. Not bad for a graduate of Pittsburg St. don’t you think?

David Glass, another former President and CEO of Wal-Mart, graduated from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. That right, that’s the same David Glass who owns the Kansas City Royals and probably worth a few hundred million dollars. No doubt David has a few Stanford and Ohio State Grads working for him.

And for what it’s worth, the next President and CEO of Wal-Mart will probably be an
Arkansas Grad (BSBA) (MBA from Tulsa) and no doubt he will hire some fine Stanford and Ohio State Grads to work for him and Wal-Mart. Most people go to college to get an education hoping that that education provides them with a better standard of living. Most colleges can provide a good education if you are willing to put forth the effort.

So what you're trying to tell me is that I should go back and get another undergrad degree at Pittsburg State and I can become rich mother fricker and powerful CEO? Far more rich than I would become with a Stanford degree?
