And, let me get this straight - if he sells merchandise related to his status as aTm's QB, that's an NCAA violation, but if he sues someone for doing the exact same thing, the NCAA has no problem with him keeping the forfeited proceeds the court may award him?

That makes as much sense as a football bat.

One thing seems to be lost in all of this and I'm surprised nobody has mentioned it. Find me a McCarron jersey or a Mettenberger jersey or a Murray jersey or a T-shirt that has any of those player's names on it for sale from somewhere other than Cafe Press or similar site. They're all very popular players with large fanbases and it should be easy, right? No? Why is that?
