hat's cool. Seriously, awesome job. Unheard of type of stats. What do y'all have to show for it tho?
It just shows that Spurrier is simply better than Saban. Even in his 'apathetic' stage as you like to put it.
And show for it? Are you kidding? I could win a national title at 'Bama with all the tools that automatically come with being the head coach of 'Bama. What Spurrier has done here is remarkable. Do you not think Bama would be successful if Spurrier went there post Skins?
Hell the best part of Spurriers 3-1 state vs Saban shows that Spurrier beat Saban while they were both at powerhouses (UF and LSU) and while Spurrier was in the middle of building up a below mediocre program and while Saban was at a powerhouse.

C'mon man. You're just mad Saban lost to Spurrier THREE years ago and hasn't been able to keep up with all the USCe accomplishments since

Still mad about 35-21?
I do love how Bama fans cry about Spurrier crying.

Spurrier spends more time playing golf than being a head coach.
And he's a crybaby. Period.
I never said he wasn't a good coach. Damn shame he's apathetic though, you'd already have a NC
LOLZ. I love the Spurrier loves golf more than he loves coaching BS that other fans pick up on from Rece Davis or some other ESPN talking head making a joke here or there about it.
Dude, apathetic because we haven't won a NC? Do you know anything about SC football? The fact we are where we are today is proof that Spurrier has been the opposite of apathetic while at SC.

the flame is small right now, we need someone to blow on it to help it develop.

His golfing didn't matter the last time we played, did it?

Spurrier is one of the best to ever coach in the SEC. He can bitch about whatever he wants. His son, however, has not earned that right and would do well to remind himself of that fact.

Doesn't Bama over sign kids and then put them on medical hardship and ruin their carrer?

Spurrier said (paraphrasing) that Saban hadn't done all that much, anybody could win at Alabama. To prove himself a great coach, Saban needed to turn around a weak program like Indiana, Toledo or somewhere like that.

I agree.
If Saban went full circle and goes back to Kent State and wins a National Championship, then I may consider him a great coach.

Guys, he's got 4 crystal balls to his name. I don't like the guy, and he's gotten plenty of breaks at "sleeping giant" programs. But he will go down as one of the greats.

How many SECCGs have the Gamecocks won, again?

All you dumb fricks do realize it was Bubba that said it right, not Steve, Sr., but little Stevie Junior?
I swear to gosh all of you just earned a pass into the Dumbass Dabo Club for retards. Dabo took something Todd Ellis said last year and did the same stupid fricking thing all of y'all just did .... blamed it on the Great One even though the Great One never said it.
I am loling.
Bubba was right to say it ... and, btw, he has two national championship rings as WR coach for UF and for Okie. He'll get a third here, maybe, who knows, if we're lucky and the football gods are smiling on us in the next couple of years. All the pieces are in place and Spurrier, well, he has good karma as do we.
You are looking at our next head coach once the big guy leaves - and he ain't skered of none of y'all. Bow down and pay proper hommage. Five of those kids were born right here in SC, they are born and bread Gamecocks and his wife is a big dog in the nursing school at USC.
The day is coming when I shall, in a drunken stupor, laugh an evil laugh upon this board one day over the lack of respect I have seen in this thread ... you simply do not sling mud at a Spurrier without paying a certain price in the form of a karma kickback of some sort.
The curse is upon you.
