Any old wives tales about your campus?

UA has some Union soldiers looking for whiskey around the Little Roundhouse.

Santa Anna's gold is buried about 20 minutes from campus, hasn't been found yet.

When I was in school you could occasionally hear what sounded like a woman moaning in the upper floors of Gorgas. I kind of got the feeling that she was a very religious ghost. Kept screaming "Oh god! Oh god! Oh god!"

Lincoln gave a speech in Langdon (false)

If the machine nearly Langdon turns when you kiss a girl then she isn't the one

All the varying War Eagle stories that I don't have time to sum up.

There was once a cow in the bell tower of Samford Hall and they couldn't get it down.

At one time Auburn had football and basketball teams.

As much as many of our Freshman try to disprove it, the myth of the Mizzou 22 is largely unfounded.

You don't have to eat shitty food and drink enough beer to float a sunken ship to get through the first year of college.

We gots some hotties.

The theater is haunted by a ghost named Syndey

If you step on the school seal that's on the ground outside of Langdon you won't graduate, you won't get married, you'll die, you'll lose an arm, ect...

The dormitory Kirby-Smith has 13 floors but no 13th floor.

The Pentagon dormitory is often referred to as the Pentagram, which is adjacent to the Indian burial grounds known as the Indian mounds.

Confederate soldiers haunt the dorms on the horseshoe due to their use as a field hospital where a bunch of them died

I thought Sydney haunted the University Chapel, at least that's what we were told when I was there.

If your roommate dies you get straight As for the semester.

I always liked the one that if a virgin walked by the globe in the Horseshoe, it would spin.

There are also the tunnels under USC's campus that have the 3 eyed man.

If you walk under the Arch as freshman (or prospective student) you'll never graduate.

So believed that there are actual indentions on either side of the arch from the amount of foot traffic that has diverted around it over the years.

If I'm remembering this right, he started off in the Chapel (which was used as a Confederate army hospital), which at some point started being used for the theater department. When the Telfair Peet was built back in the 70s, Sydney followed

The form of the legend I prefer is that when a coed walks by the lathe and it turns, then she's a virgin.

And if it doesn't turn, well...
