If Kirby leaves in the next year or two, Steele would have to be a candidate to replace him. Then again, his defense was shite at Clemson so maybe not

With the newly deregulated recruiting rules, this is actually a pretty big deal. He's a damn good recruiter. I'm anxious to see what our class is going to be this year. You know Saban is just licking his chops since the NCAA has now removed the muzzle.

My source tells me that Steele is insurance in case KS does leave for a HC job and is a trusted friend to NS. NS may know that it is only a matter of time before KS Takes a good HC job
