Well, you are right, we did hold onto Jones and I'm glad we have made changes since 2011 BUT Jones should have never been a contest yet it was. Just like on their side Tony Conner should not have been a contest and it was NOT. And we did outrecruit OM in MS this year no doubt but I figure that is mostly because OM didn't heavily focus on MS given they were having such success with national recruits from all over the Southeast and Midwest. I mean why worry about guys like Thomas and Flowers when you can pick off 2 nationally ranked top 10 OTs in Tunsil and Golson. I would like to think they are drawing some unwanted attention from the NCAA but I will only believe it when I see it. SEC teams pretty much get away with murder under Slive anyway so I doubt OM will be any different.

How could we avoid it? If you have any(real) insight into his recruitment, you know what(or more precisely who) "happened" to cause him to take the trips. I won't go into detail because it reflects badly on Jones when in fact it shouldn't. Ultimately, he is a Dawg.

Again, insight is needed. Conner was very much a contest right until the bitter end. Just wasn't us in that game. OM burned long-term bridges with Lance Pogue over how Conner's recruitment went down(not that Pogue has the actual pull to change the OM machine in Batesville).

OM does not fall under the "protection" of the SEC any more than MSU does. At some point, Slive has to give a sacrificial lamb to the NCAA in order to keep the SEC affiliated with that organization. When has there EVER been a better sacrificial lamb than the current OM team given the nature of that recruiting class(and the rumors that they are already being looked at on multiple fronts)? If he protects them now, the SEC might as well break away and basically start their own organization, because NCAA rules no longer apply on any level whatsoever.

OM turned us in over a jacket and handshakes with Will Redmond. When Slive laughed at them about it, their "mouthpiece" De'Vinner went public and forced everyone's hand. Nevermind that we've got Bracky working double time to fry us. Do you really think that is going to work with the blatant cheating they're doing? Our booster network laid down and took it in 2001. That IS NOT happening this time. Just get ready for the sparks to fly -- because it's not just us that are after them this time.
