I doubt many would disagree about Dye. He was after all iron sharpened by iron.

I can see your point about Dye's impact on Bama btw.

Dye learned under Bear. Dye was one mean nasty driven a-hole when he arrived at AU and he owes that to his own personal drive plus what he learned and took from Bryant.

If AU had not hired Dye and Dye had not gotten Bo Jackson, things would have been a lot different in the 1980's for sure. Hell, they would be different to this day I suspect.
