Ok I'll bite.... simply put Arkansas HS kids are traditionaly UNDER evaluated and not ranked very high... several have proven to be much better than their rankings out of high school. Arkansas will always sign 8-10 instate kids and unless the instate class has tons of star power it will hurt their national ranking. We won't be able to win recruiting battles in Alabama with 'Bama in on them very often...if ever. The same will be the case in LA with LSU. Time will tell if A&M now being in the SEC will hurt us in Texas but our recruiting in Texas overall has been down for several years with the exception of east Texas. BB and staff seem to be doing better nationally so far than previous staffs but time will tell if that will last.
Facilities is not the issue... ours are as good as anyone else. NWA doesn't appeal to everyone. If you are a middle to upper class white kid, it's great. If you aren't, well..... not so great. Doesn't bother some kids and really bothers others. Having been to Tuscaloosa and Baton Rouge, they are much more culturally diverse than Fayetville. Not saying that is better or worse...just different.

Arky's problem is more than lack of black athletes. Back in the days of segregation,Hogs still got over two thirds of their players from out of state.LSU,Ole Miss and Bama were loaded with home state kids.
High school football has never been very strong in Arkansas.
