Indeed it is Fall 2013. Looks like the deadline was Jan. 15, 2013.

The deadline is not hard and fast. You questioned whether I made this up fig, thus the smarminess.

I've got a couple of Longhorn friends, one quite a bit older than me well into his 60s. He's pretty even handed about things, but A&M moving to the SEC riled him - no doubt about it. Both of'em are worried, although neither will outright admit it, that this could cause some serious long term hurt to the Horns unless they get rid of Mack Brown and get a younger guy that can relate to the kids.
Of course they are pretty insistent that the best white players in the state will continue to go to Texas.
