We're gonna get it here in Atlanta tomorrow. Like two inches of rain, severe storms, and wind gusts up to 40 mph.

Wind is pretty strong here out of the south. 10-20 mph or so. Pumping a lot of fuel toward the Mid South ahead of a pretty powerful blast of cold air.
Great set up for a severe weather outbreak.

Government needs to send some more money to HAARP. They missed kansas by a few hundred miles.

This is going to be an extreme event for January, one where Meteorologists are just amazed at the synoptics and overall setup. The models continue to come in more aggressively with about every possible index we look at, overall they have slowed the system down a few hours. So there will be tornado threats (and indeed some will occur in this) for Ark, TN, western KY and northern MS overnight, the way this big trough will have an added vort that rounds the base and sets up a 150 knot jetstreak in just the right spot to really slam Georgia and the Carolinas and Virginia (really much of the Southeast to Northeast) is going to a record event. The low level jet I've been mentioning a couple of days is now being tossed around elsewhere and the models continue to increase it this afternoon. The new 18z NAM has an extremely dangerous setup for Georgia, SC, NC and VA as the day wears on by afternoon and early evening, with strong pre-frontal winds from the due south possibly reaching down even just before the squall line hits. The longer the areas east of the Apps remain rain-free, the worse this will become most likely especially considering time of day and how the added jetstreak timing works in nicely to ramp up the sudden explosion of the Squall line by afternoon crossing GA, east TN, west NC, west SC and west VA by afternoon. It shows 50mph winds and increases to 60 and even 70mph winds. Usually NAM overdoes the strength, but the GFS isn't too far removed from these numbers. So this event will have embedded twisters some areas, and then extremely strong winds at the ground howling from the south before and during the squall line passage. Its possible some mountain tops could have hurricane gusts tomorrow, but the lower elevations won't be immune to this event. Check out how deep the trough is. You won't see this setup much with such a tall western ridge to Alaska and deep central trough to the Gulf.

Looks like possible tornado on radar North West of St Louis.

They're saying now we could have tornado warnings in the evening tonight and have a rain/snow mix by Wednesday evening.
