Not saying there aren't rogue guys out there and hundred dollar handshakes like everywhere, but there is no way the "REC" buys cars and does the bidding of Bama. In fact, at every REC meeting I've ever attended or heard of, if a Bama coach is there he emphasizes (repeatedly) something along the lines of "be a fan only. we don't need your help recruiting."
