If the offensive scheme doesn't fit the talent on the roster, that's on the coaches.

As a coach, you don't say stupid shite in press conferences like "we need more talent before we can get better" and expect to not be held accountable for it.

If I'm a player, I'm sure I really want to play for a guy that is whining that we're not talented enough. That's really going to "motivate" me to get better.

He has changed his offensive scheme, it still isn't working. You also have to understand that just like not all players can play in all schemes, not all coaches can coach all schemes. At some point a coach HAS to coach his style and the PLAYERS have to adjust, it has to. The coach can make tweeks but he has to coach his style or else he will never be able to implement his style.

HE IS RIGHT. But that isn't a sweeping statement across the board, we need a PF ... right now we do not have one. Young played great on Saturday but he isn't a long term solution. Right now, if Reese and Caruso aren't having a "freshman" day then we are playing 4 on 5 at best. You will not ever win playing 4 on 5 even if the other 4 are better than the other team. In any given game I am confident in saying that we have the worst player on the court no matter who is playing PF, Ray, Young, or Jahns ... they are a liability. Jahns doesn't have the talent. Young has more talent than Jahns but not enough and he isn't athletic and he hasn't quote caught up to the speed of the game and Ray can have all the talent in the world but no coaching staff has ever been able to get his potential out of him. He was inconsistent under Turgeon and he is inconsistent under Kennedy. He just doesn't have the basketball IQ or the toughness needed to play. He is constantly out of position more so than anyone else, he is constantly getting pushed off the block, he is constantly trying to make a fade away jumper instead of going into the chest of the defender and drawing a foul.

There is a REASON we have 3 post players coming in next year. Space, Miller and Trocha will hopefully go a long way towards giving us some much needed talent and depth in the post. Think about it ... if Kourtney gets into foul trouble or needs a breather ... who do we have in the post that would actually trust touching the ball or defending anyone?
