Glock 19 9mm
I am currently loaning mine to my grandmother... Her 1911 Colt 45 was too heavy for her.
She likes it a lot.

Another gun I like, and I don't know if it's been mentioned, is the H & K P2000.
Comes in 9MM and .40cal
