Imagine a future where the old ways are gone, the old order demolished.
Perhaps the bombs will go off, or perhaps a plague slaughters billions.

Regardless, the bulk of humanity has fallen beneath the indiscriminate scythe of the reaper, and those that are left when the dust settles and the fires burn to ash must begin anew.

So, in the absence of the pretty veneer of civilization that peels away like layers of paint to reveal the raw wood beneath, what shall fill the void?
The laws of man become nothing, and only the laws of the jungle remain. Power, strength of arms, cunning, these are what matters.
The man that cleaves your head in two won't care about your credit score, your mortgage, your bank account.
All will be equalized, men shall be truly free again.
Yet men do not remain equal for long...

So will kings rise again, men who can rally the survivors around their banner, for good or for no.
And with them rise those that swear fealty, accepting the king's peace in exchange for the king's laws.
Is the nature of man to make chiefs of their champions, and from there begin the long march towards failed experiments in government?

If the reset button is hit, will wel follow the same path?

Your thoughts?
