First thing that came to mind was Alabama-LSU in the national title game. The first ever SECCG in 1992 between Alabama and Florida though changed college football.

1992 SECCG (Alabama vs Florida) or 2007 BCSCG (Ohio State vs Florida).

The 1926 Rose Bowl game between Alabama and Washington. I know that the SEC hadn't been formed yet, but for what that game did for southern football from that day forward, you've got to allow for its inclusion.

First one wasn't an SEC game.

I believe when Florida started the run of 7 straight BCS titles for the SEC

I would say Florida's upset over OSU in the 2006 BCS Championship. This game highlighted SEC speed and began a streak of 7 straight BCS Championships for the SEC.

One that could have redefined Tennessee will always be 11/14/1998. If Stoerner holds on to the ball and we successfully nurse the clock, UT likely doesn't play for the NC. In fact, given the landscape of the SEC at the time it's highly unlikely UT gets back to the mountain top as they have shown.

That game saves UT from having to look back to 1951 as their last AP National Title. 62 years.

The 09 SEC title game deserves mention. I know we got our butts kicked, but I'm glad I was there. Unbelievable atmosphere.
