I'd trade it for Charlotte in a New York minute.

Fair, there are plenty of places that I might be happier living and I'll still continue to apply elsewhere. Just curious what the thoughts are on Baton Rouge and whether it would be tolerable to live there for a few years.

Coastie: familiar with the LSU RecSports department at all? Decent place/people to work for?

I had a friend that did, if I'm thinking of the right department. She liked it.

Baton Rouge really isn't a horrible place to live. There are bad areas of town, but pretty much any city has bad areas. Traffic sucks, but if you work at LSU, try to live close to there. I like living here 1000x more than I like living in Gulfport or Alexandria.
