it seems like it has been. bama has no problems getting kids like lacy in but both ole miss and state have had trouble keeping types like him around. Powe is the exception. Once saban gives freeze the secret to getting kids eligible its completely over for the rest of the sec.

David Saunders gave that "secret" to both State and OM. We haven't had much trouble getting kids in lately. When was the last time either school had a "priority" not make it in?
The difference between Saban and Freeze/Mullen is that Saban doesn't take the flyers on the grade risks -- he has enough other guys on the board at approx the same level that he just moves on to them.
The ascension of the SEC is helping both of us recruit better than we thought possible out of state as well. May not show in either of our classes just yet, but it will in February...

It hasn't been as widespread as you think. Of course there are grade problems, but it's not as bad as you think.
