Missouri couldn't wait to get in the Sec and now that they are getting their arse spanked their complaining. it started with saying they play big boy football.

I am not knocking it, I am saying it isn't the end-all be-all for a university's status as a contributor to society. Or as you said, "haves and have nots"

I'm glad that there are people and institutions that want to do research, but I don't and I'm not going to pretend that research is the only way a university can contribute to our nation and society

I presume you have developed a methodology far superior to theirs for ranking colleges? After all, what do they know? It's only their fricking job.

Right, so your opinion is the end all - and a comprehensive list of top public universities deserves no merit?

Your inability to objectively seek truth is a direct representation of your intellect..

Missouri has Mark Twain. Mississippi has Eudora Welty, WWilliam Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, JimI Henson, Your right, none of these people contributed anything to society. My uncle graduated from Ole Miss and then graduated from Harvard medical school. Maybe we. were taught to be little more humble and carry a big stick.

Well, I would start with one that removes the popularity contest aspect and judges a school on its academic merits. Far to much input about things not relevant to the actual mission of the Universities in that list.

TBH, Mizzou is slightly hampered by the fact that we're the public research university in the state as well as the state's land grant university.

Tends to smash shite up a bit when there's no real alternative.

Your inability to realize you are being trolled even though its been stated multiple times in the thread must also be a direct representation of your own intellect as well.
