Was looking at stats the other day and started to notice over the last 6 seasons, UGA QB's have beeen pretty damn consistent.

07- Stafford 2,523 yards 19TD 10INT
08- Stafford 3,459 yards 25TD 10INT
09- Cox 2,584 yards 24TD 15INT
10- Murray 3,049 yards 24TD 8INT
11- Murray 3,149 yards 35TD 14INT
12- Murray 3,893 yards 36TD 10INT

I for one am jealous. Even the ginga ninja Joe Cox posted near 2,600 yards and 24TDs. Numbers we LSU fans fap over. LSU needs to throw money at the man responsible for developing the QBs at Georgia.

As LSU fans, we dream of a hero riding in on a white horse and actually developing our quarterbacks. Someday.

ETA: If you watched any of those 4 years of Jefferslee, you understand why I made this thread.

Won what? A mythical National Championship?

We've got two separate top 3 finishes where we weren't given the opportunity that Florida, LSU, and Bama have received in their imperfect seasons.

We've got a good run of quarterbacking.
But you win the SEC by running the football.
2012 was definitely a step in the right direction.

We had our best running game since 2007.
Unfortunately, we're still working on the defense (which was an issue in '07 and '08 as well).

But more importantly than the defense is the ability to run the football when the defense knows you're running it.

Tennessee had a better run in the '90s when they had two Heisman runner-ups and top 3 overall picks in Heath Shuler and Peyton Manning.

Going back even further, you had some great qb play from Greene and Shockley.

I remember in 2001 when a freshman DG beat UT in Knoxville in the last 30 seconds. Then there was the time 2003 he made defending champ LSU bite the pillow in Athens. Threw like 5 tds or somthin?

I always liked DJ Shockley. Didnt transfer, waited his turn and when it came he won the SEC. I was pullin for UGA so hard when they lost to WV that year.

well, JJ had more time to do more to the will of your fan base. Joe had a year to show his talents. and we would soon find that game vs CU wasn't exactly par for the course. but point shaving was.

and don't you frickers argue with me, NO ONE forgets how to toss a god damn football twice

Gun to your head, which Joe would you rather have under center: Cox or the Polish kid whose name I don't know how to spell. Teriskinski or something. Bullet, trigger, death, etc. not an option.
