What do you think was the year of Saban's best coaching job? Im not talking best team. Obviously, if your team is stacked, it takes less of a coaching effort. So look at his career. When was he at his best?

You all know my answer.

Alabama 2008. They were a very ordinary team with the exception of a tremendous offensive line.

I think Saban puts Bama in position to win every game and should have been at least considered for coach of the year. Execution hurt Bama against A&M. The adjustments were made after A&M jumped out on them, but players made mistakes - AJ's pick and the player jumping offsides on the punt.

The thing is . . . he has an excellent system that works. That is what a head coach does - manages everything and puts his team and assistants in a position to win. It involves not being fearful of change, i.e, he is beginning to embrace the no-huddle and has moved away from the 3-4 quite a bit during games. And . . . think about it, we lost 2 starters at WR, two backup RBs that were scheduled to play alot and did not miss much of a beat. Again, adjusting to change is key.

So, yes, I think this is his best, if not close to his best, year of coaching.
