So after contemplating and looking at a few thing I think Bielema is a better coach than petrino.

1. Better coaching connections

2. he isn't an authoritarian dick head, I know everyone kind of embraced that but I was never quite ok with it. I generally don't like people like that.

3. Bielema isn't a scheme expert which had me worried at first and then I realized he didn't need to be his assistants need to be.

4. He won't call either side of the ball in the game which means we should put some complete teams together.

5. Arkansas is a clear step up from Wisconsin where Bielema was bound with limited fiscal and physical resources. He should be able to win more games and attract more talent here.

6 Petrino was never going to recruit well. He never will.

7. Petrino's assistants were terrible except for Haynes, Johnson, Caldwell. why was it ok for petrino to bring in the carroll college flunkies but the msm mafia that nutt has was terrible?

8. Petrino elevated what us back to relevance Bielema should continue his success.

This staff is down right amazing. We're getting interest from kids all over the country, and it's not the same ole bullshite about how our offense is good there is an actual personal connection there with a coach.

You make some sound arguments but remember, Bieladong was coachin in the B1G and wasn't knocking it out of the park in recruiting. He's now playing with the big boys. Time will tell whether he and this staff can recruit well to Arkansas.

If they can't then we'll never be the program we all want to be. These guys are truly some of the best from around the country. When BB was hired I didn't realize the far reachings of his coaching connections. I just don't know if there will be a better staff on the hill again than these guys.

Bieledong is not the most dynamic coach. There is a coach (not sure who) who can recruit very well here. We'll have to see if BB is that guy. If he's not, it means nothing more than "he's not that guy."

Although going to 3 Rose Bowls, he didn't win one. Which could translate into not being able to win the "Big Game". ie Bama or a BCS bowl during his tenure at Arkansas.

I'll reserve judgement on our recruiting until signing day in 2014.

After getting all amped up with the hiring of Petrino, I'll be more cautious before I proclaim that Coach B will take us to the next level.

I think just like how Petrino really made Nutt's shortcomings clearer, Bielema does the same thing when compared to Petrino.

Its a lot clearer how much trouble Petrino had in crafting a decent staff. We all wondered why our DC seemed to suck arse for years. Can Petrino hire and co-exist with other good coaches?

Petrino would probably be the world's best offensive coordinator if someone would give him total control of an offense and make that his only role.

Petrino was probably the better gameday playcaller, but Bielema is the better coach overall when you take EVERYTHING that being a coach entails into account.

Bro, we are ALL sounding like homers right now. We hired an AMAZING staff and good talent. We have every right to be excited.

I have to disagree with this one. Petrino didn't go after stars. He went after what would fit into his program. Gragg was a two star recruit. Look what he turned out to be.

Those two stars were as hit and miss as before. we landed a few diamonds in the rough. Petrino left us with talent but it's spotty at best. Like it or not those elite recruits that everyone wants were offered first and didn't respond or said no. Petrino had solid plan c and d kids which is good but that's what they were.
