Since the average ACT score has increased for each class, one would expect the average for the most recent class (25.6) to be higher than the average for the entire enrollment. Correct?

Yep. Makes sense. It was probably classes 3-4 years ago bringing it down. Didn't bama raise the minimum ACT score from 18 to 21 or something recently? That would help as well.
