based on final season rankings Florida but Utah was embarrassing. I don't buy they weren't up just like I think Utah outplayed and outcoached Bama.

Florida's performance was definitely worse defensively. Utah basically put up a flurry of TDs in the first 10 minutes of the game and then was mostly quiet thereafter. Louisville moved the ball up and down the field on Florida all game long. However, Alabama was worse offensively. They gave up six or seven sacks and the offensive line was a mess with Andre Smith's dumbass getting suspended before the bowl game and the Mike Johnson injury. The offense really got dominated at the point of attack. So it's basically a push.

Florida losing is a much bigger embarassment.

Utah was an undefeated legit top 10 team, Louisville has 2 losses and was way worse.

Alabama started the game flat, falling behind 21-0 early, from that point on they played em pretty much even.

Florida was consistently outplayed the entire game.

Alabama had lost the previous game in hearbreaking fashion and it was somewhat understandable they were a little disappointed and not motivated.

Florida hasn't lost since the middle of the year and their last game was arguably one of their best of the year, dominating FSU on the road.

Both teams shat the bed, Florida did so in much more messy fashion.

Utah was a 9 point underdog, Louisville was a 14 point underdog.

UF/L'ville, but we still remember Bama/Utah, so don't get your hopes up about it fading to obscurity anytime soon

Florida played undisciplined and uninspired throughout the game. Onsides kick to start the 2nd half, don't recover, add on TWO 15 yard penalties and Louisville starts the drive at UF's 19 & scores a TD. Muschomp sent a bad message to his players, seeming desperate.

I was in NOLA for the Utah loss and that game looked worse in person than the Florida game did on tv if that makes any sense. It was just a cluster frick all night long. JP Wilson spent more time on his back than he did on his feet and our defense looked as lost as Hogan's goat in that first half. At least in the game last night Florida moved the ball pretty well most of the night and showed signs of life throughout, they just werent able to finish drives and avoid turnovers. When a ball gets tipped by a receiver and intercepted, you cant really call that anything but shite arse fricking luck. You cannot put that on the QB IMO. Not saying the entire game was UL getting lucky, just that part of it, which was HUGE for UL in terms of not only the score, but momentum as well.
