I was attacking the implication - rather, the assertion, that A&M lands kids only because of where it's located. Was that not the thrust of your "gift-wrapped because of location" comment? Lol.
you don't think your proximity is a huge advantage over other schools? Hell look at Sherman, guy was a terrible coach and he has the potential to have 3 top 10 picks this year.

winning with shitty players.
I love how if a player isn't a highly rated recruit he's a shitty player. Guess the same could be same for Johnny Football since he was only a 3 star?

The Oregon who regularly snatches top skill position talent.
Of course they wanted Kenny Hill, too. He's the 2012 Gatorade H.S. National Player of the a Year. He plays QB and is from Dallas. Frankly I'm shocked Shannon let him get away.

Marcus Mariota committed first, lucky for you.
But Manziel is shitty, only a 3*

They become shitty when you remove a coach and in months they fall from top 10 to 4-8 (or was it 5-7?).

You know who the 2005 H.S. National Player of the Year was?
He was a QB too.

so the players are shitty, not the coach?
so I suppose Sherm would've won 10 had he stayed around this season? He obviously had good players. Had been 0-3 against Arkansas' shitty players FWIW.

Oregon who finishes in the 50s in the recruiting rankings?
Have finished in the top 20 the last 3 years. Not sure what you're talking about

It's an advantage, of course. Never said it wasn't.

Can't blame him - that 50 number has gotten awfully recognizable.
I bet you've got all the teams from 40-60 down pat, huh, Dale?

and furthermore Arkansas is at a huge disadvantage based on their proximity and in-state HS talent compared to other SEC schools, would you agree with that also?

Bumping shoulders with schools like Maryland, Purdue and Colorado has to be rough, in both rankings and offer lists

You're just digging and digging and digging.
Sherman lost to Arkansas because he's the inverse of BMFP -- he coached away good talent while BMFP ... well frick that dude was a damn miracle worker.
Sherman was supposed to win 11 last year. And but for his team shitting the bed in 5 second half meltdowns he would've -- that's why he was fired.
So no, Sherman would not have won 10 games this year. He was a loser.

I would agree that Arkansas has inherent disadvantages that not even winning can cure -- as proved over the last 4 years.

We have 15 recruits committed, you have 35, just 3 away from tieing Nutt's record at Ole Miss for the largest recruiting class ever.

And I guess you can put Houston Nutt in the same category as Petrino then right? He got us to Atlanta 3 more times than Petrino did. So did he have shitty talent and was just an exemplary head coach too?
