Bama boards saying he's taking a visit to UF the day after the All-American game. Per his HS coach.

Check that. BOL is not saying he will visit UF. Who knows.

Yeah, that tweet is from a week ago. Everyone's reporting now that he will visit UF. Looks like he's gone unless we can convince him to stay.

Reading around a bit, it seems he 50/50 going into a visit January 5 to Florida. Basically he's gone unless other Alabama commits talk sense into him at the A/A game.
It seems it comes down to Pruitt leaving. It sucks because its a position coach that he wouldn't even be coached by.

Several of his buddies are committed to UF and they'll definitely be in his ear at the UA AA game. The main Bama commit who's been talking to him is Henry and he's playing in the Army game.

Just read the he has a visit scheduled.
It is not because of Pruitt leaving. It's because of pressure to stay closer to home, and that has been weighing on him down the stretch.
Muschamp told Walker long ago that when he made his commitment, he would recruit him harder than before he had committed. Muschamp personally took over his recruitment from that day forward, and about 2 months ago, Walker told Muschamp he was going to visit, but didn't want it out in the public. If there's one thing about Muschamp, he is persistent with recruits, and an ace recruiter.

So basically Muschamp is going to guilt the kid into visiting and possibly flipping?

Yeah, that's it dumb arse. You seem pretty butthurt over this situation. A situation that has not even come to fruition yet. That shows me that you have not been around the game very long.

Why wouldn't we be pissed? He was a center-piece of a great defensive class. He was saying not to listen to the rumors and he's going to take a visit anyway.

It is part of the GAME. Hell, nothing has even happened yet and some are acting like huge bitches. Just let it play out first, before getting all upset.
Also, I do expect you guys to be upset, but do not get all pissed off when I respond to a topic that is asking UF fans what they have heard.

You know better than to think people are not going to get upset over it. Folks want to believe a kid is telling the truth when he says don't listen to the rumors, no matter how many times this happens every year. But then again, folks are getting antsy already because they've seen it play out like this before. Unlikely he doesn't flip at this point.

You are probably right. It is likely he flips, IF he makes the visit.
I have been saying this for years in regards to recruiting, you CANNOT take what kids tell reporters anymore as truth. Recruiting is a GAME now. Kids are not straight up with reporters. If they were straight up with reporters, they would have to deal with 10x the pressure that they are already dealing with. People that want to follow recruiting, need to understand this. Stop going by what kids are saying in articles. Go by an opinion YOU have formed, based off of the kids actions, etc.

Which makes Walker's decision to visit Florida, with no chance for Alabama to make a pitch before he enrolls somewhere, the more puzzling.

Not really. Like I stated, as it's becoming closer to his EE date, playing closer to home is weighing on him.

He's been very vocal in his choice of Alabama and his eagerness to enroll at Alabama. He's been very open about recruiting other prospects to be in the 2013 Alabama class. So, yes, it is very puzzling to see him make a change of heart this late.

And you called me butthurt?
Grow up you fricking idiot.

Obviously I am upset over the possibility of landing Demarcus Walker. I just laugh at chumps like you that know nothing about recruiting, but think Bama is the only place to play CFB for elite athletes.

Show me where I ever made that statement right there. That's right, you can't.

Oh but you are. How can I tell? You come out throwing direct, personal insults over a damn internet message board b/c I posted my opinion.
I'd love to stay and argue with you more, but I don't like to get into a war of wits with an obiviously unarmed, defenseless individual as yourself, so I am off to bed.
You have a good evening Gator.
