you know we went 3-9 last year right?
And Kentucky went 2-10.
Regardless, sounds like a perfect opportunity to pitch early PT.

because what do most of the top recruiting teams have that others don't? in state talent. if you don't have a solid base of instate players then you are behind the 8 ball from the get go.
ALSO WE WENT frickING 3-9 LAST YEAR
3-9

3-9

Kentucky had an elite 11 and like 3 ESPN top300 recruits instate, that would be an anomaly like the 08 recruiting class here.
Stoops figured out Ohio was a couple hours away from campus instead of trying to steal players out of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and the Carolinas like the previous coaches have done there.
Who knew there is less recruiting competition against B1G schools than than everyone in the SEC and ACC going after the same recruits.
Guess I should get used to Kentucky out-recruiting us if he's figured this out.

The only thing these services are good for is basic individual recruit information and offseason conversation and debate for fans. For which they are very useful. Thats it.

Early PT.
EARLY PT!
We pitched it last year after 4-8. Why not this year after 3-9?

two of our best young players last year were from Miami, we got more from that area this year. or because they aren't from Texas it doesn't count? He's in his second fricking year, there were some impressive freshman on our team this year, doesn't that give him some credibility that he has an eye for talent?

Comparing this class to Alabama's as an example of why you think this isn't a good enough class is a laughable strategy.

Because kids might value assured winning over playing early?

I'm sorry, Russ. But this is the dumbest shite I've ever heard. When was the last time a team won a national championship recruiting at an "average" rating?

you can play early anywhere if you are good enough. studs aren't afraid of competition. stop with that lame shite

Sorry it doesn't fit your narrative. Legit recruiting tactic based on our ranking and coach's previous strategy?
That's dumb!
That's dumb!

so what's your solution to stack Arkansas high schools with more talent?
We turn the University of Arkansas back into a baby making facility where chicks major in aesthetics and husband husbandry instead of hulabaloo like accounting, chemistry, and animal sciences.
We need to offer up every female on campus to Dan Skipper, Alandise Harris, Alex Collins, Hunter Henry, Darius Philon, Trey Flowers, Bijohn Jackson etc. The bitch arse Allen Bros, Austin Tate, Mardracus Wade, and the like aren't worthy stock.

Ocelot, when was the last time a team won the national championship and was not located in a state that is overrun with elite football talent? Would Tennessee qualify? That was a long time ago.
My point here is that of course it takes elite talent to win NCs, but it usually (there are exceptions) takes fortunate locations to consistently attract elite talent. We don't have that, so expecting it is silly.

Woe is me Arkansas = wanting us to be better.
Arkansas is great = I'm happy with where we are because we sucked last year and our state sucks.

Of course it does.
But I'm not comparing us to ourselves. I'm comparing us to our competition.

No, it's the constant negativity and belief that everyone is just so much better than us
Yeah sunshine pumpers are annoying but there's a nice middle ground

my narrative? instate is at the root of everything, that's a fricking fact. without a stacked crop we're gonna rank in the 20s for the foreseeable future, you should be used to that by now. it doesn't matter who the coach is, result is the same, that's not a coincidence. wake up.
