4 of 8 then.

If that were 8 of 16, dynasty.

Or 10 of 20, dynasty.

4 of 8, not dynasty.

IMO of course

No dynasty for Bama. Saban can build a program but he can't sustain. Players will reject his process when exposed to it year after year.

Well, either way, better to be in that conversation than not. CLM needs to figure out how to get 'one more play'. The loss to UA sucked 10 times more this year than the bowl game. Next time dammit.

Considering the parity in college football these days, 3 in 4 years is about as close to a dynasty as you can expect. Not to mention that Alabama has been ranked #1 at some point in each of the last five seasons.

Also, the fact that Alabama has gone on this run while navigating its way through the SEC is nothing short of impressive. Insert "Bama didn't even win its division last year" here.

What Dynasty?

While most would think you need roughly a decade for a dynasty Saban at UA has built arguably the best program in the nation right now. Go back and total up the scoring margins for UA since 2008 against all the major rivals in the SEC and get back to me on who is competitive with them, simple answer is no one.

How long that will last is anyone's guess, my guess is until Saban leaves or Emmert is out at the NCAA.

I'm trying to say the word "dynasty" is thrown around too much. There may not be a dynasty in CFB for the rest of our lives. And that's ok.

I don't understand this need to use the word "dynasty" every time a team goes on a nice little run, in any sport.

Run shite for a couple decades, then you're king shite.

No.

Well, I suppose I should answer. The bowl win last year was big but 1 score games in 07, 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12 (09 was 9 point game) is competitive.

Exactly why this is not an example of a dynasty. "right now" is not a dynasty. Since 2008 is not a dynasty.

Your lack of knowledge on what an actual dynasty is, historically, makes you look dumb.

Arguably? In all seriousness, what other program could you make an argument for?
