Arkansas is a destination job with a higher ceiling than Mizzou.

National Championships vs Elite 8s.

He already took Mizzou to their ceiling.

Y'all are wearing this slick. Arkansas is home to Anderson, and no one blames him for wanting to end up there. He's happy, y'all are happy - and we're happy too. He leveraged his way to several salary increases at Mizzou by flirting with other jobs. Now he's your coach - and your problem - for better or worse. We're pleased with how things are going in our program now, we're ranked #7 with only 2 players left over from Anderson's tenure.

Best of luck to Arkansas in OOC, look forward to seeing you in conference play.

Arkansas is nowhere near that in terms of basketball prestige,

Street & Smith's ranked Arkansas' in the top 10 as a basketball program of all time, #8 to be exact, behind only Kentucky in the SEC who was #1 on the list.

I would say they have the prestige market cornered in the SEC.

Mizzou was #38.

It was only a destination job for Anderson. I really don't think anyone would look at the 2 schools TODAY and think Arky is a better job than Mizzou.

Except every coach in America. Coaches don't want to go to programs with an Elite 8 ceiling. They go to those kinds of places to advance their career, not to retire.

ETA: also, recruits know Arkansas > Mizzou. John Motherfricking Pelphrey was pulling top classes here.

Heard the same thing from Bundy, here, all I know is we went and hired Mike Anderson while you and Ms. State went and hired a guy who was about to be fired from Miami and some career assistant named Rick Ray...

Y'all had previously hired Heath and Pelphrey. Anderson came because it was home to him. It's not like great coaches were knocking down the door to get the job.

Different situation and AD.

Broyles didn't believe in hiring an "up and comer" for the football job while on the other hand didn't believe in paying big bucks for the basketball coach, he was a football coach and that was his mindset.

The Nolan situation forced White and Broyles towards Heath as he deflected the situation as Broyles was initially going to hire Self from Illinois to replace Nolan.

Broyles botched replacing Heath several times to end up with Pelphrey, Anderson could have been had at any time, but he wasn't an option for Broyles due to his ties to Nolan.

There is no way Bama makes any post season tournament this year.

No bigs.

Alabama HS basketball sucks.

Ceilings are broken with the right coach, and no one at Mizzou believes that ceiling is valid. And Arkansas hasn't done squat in 18 years, so your argument is meaningless. That includes those top recruiting classes you're bragging about.

There's really nothing to argue about here, this isn't a threat about Mizzou and Arkansas. This thread is about pointless bracketology predictions, and right now Arkansas isn't predicted to factor in. I hope that's incorrect, and that you do make the tournament, it would be great for the conference.

You kids really enjoy your pissing contests. Sheesh.
