Wut? Has he watched us play? Or just looked at who we've beaten? I mean I'll take it though, must be a pretty weak field this year.

Why did Mike Anderson leave Mizzou again?
Rumors had it that Anderson didn't have much of a choice. He had flirted with several job openings during his 5 years at MU. Apparently, when the Arkansas situation came up, the AD made a reasonable (nowhere near the offer from Arkansas) offer to Anderson to stay. The first time Sexton came back with a counter, the response was something like "it would be in his best interests to accept the Arkansas offer."
Apparently the AD was very tired of dealing with it. The disaster of a season also created a sentiment of "time to change" among the big $$ boosters. Most everyone felt Anderson had done about all he could do at Mizzou and wanted to thank him for his time and wish him luck at his next stop.
He did make Mizzou into a stable program again. For that, I think all Mizzou fans are grateful to Anderson. Having said that, it is a night and day difference watching Haith coach the team vs Anderson.

That, or he thought he couldnt win road games anymore because he was at Mizzou. Obviously that is the reason, since he wins them all the time at arky.

He did all anyone can do at Mizzou. It's Mizzou.

Not really. He failed to even sniff a conference title.

He won 30 games in a season. Only two coaches have done that at Mizzou*
*the other coach did it with MA's team.
Also made Elite 8. Which is like a national title at Mizzou.

His last season at Mizzou started out good, fell apart mid-season. How did he start at arky? How did mid/late season go for ya? His system has been figured out and will never work. Enjoy.

As I have said in the many threads where this has been previously discussed......seems like Mizzou fans and Arky fans are happy that Anderson is now at Arkansas.

Arkansas is a destination job with a higher ceiling than Mizzou.
National Championships vs Elite 8s.
He already took Mizzou to their ceiling.

It was only a destination job for Anderson. I really don't think anyone would look at the 2 schools TODAY and think Arky is a better job than Mizzou.

Heard the same thing from Bundy, here, all I know is we went and hired Mike Anderson while you and Ms. State went and hired a guy who was about to be fired from Miami and some career assistant named Rick Ray...
Same with Tennessee and Auburn's sense of self inflation in football...

To early.
I remember in 2007 when he had Ole Miss and Air Force as 3 seeds in February, and both ended up missing the tournament.

not the same at all. Tennessee and Auburn are both top 10 programs in terms of historical relevance, and top 10 programs in terms of brand value (monetary) and recognition.
Arkansas is nowhere near that in terms of basketball prestige, and I've never seen them mentioned anywhere near a top 25 list ranking a basketball programs value(monetary).
It's a regional program that had a nice run in the early 90s, nothing more nothing less. I do think it's in the top half of the league in terms of basketball jobs.
