if you want speed run a RAID 0 setup which would require you to get 2 of the exact same hard drives. it will run about 20-25% faster than a non raid setup. the only thing is that raid is a bitch to swap hard drive shite off of, frick bitch ti's impossible, and i need the shite on my extra hard drive for business purposes or else i would have ran a RAID 0 setup
also don't skimp out on the motherboard and get you a really good cooling unit and you can overclock the processor a tad to make it faster. but if you dont' have a good cooling unit you will burn the processor.

Yeah, I've built numerous PC's, I mean, I know what I'm doing. I just have to get caught back up on some of the hardware, I'm a little out of date with some of it.
I usually don't overclock my RAM or CPU except to get the RAM out of default settings. As far as cooling, I've looked into water cooling, but I'm not comfortable setting it up, plus it's overkill for what I do. On this build I went with Arctic Cooling and it's done a great job.
